Ectropion Correction

1. What is Ectropion Correction?

Ectropion occurs when the eyelid turns outward and no longer sits properly against the eye. Correction surgery tightens, repositions or reconstructs the eyelid to restore normal contact with the eye surface.

It may be recommended when ectropion causes persistent eye irritation, dryness, excessive watering, exposure of the eye surface or difficulty closing the eyelid. Surgery may also be considered when the eyelid position significantly affects appearance.
